Terms of Service — VylexAI App

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the VylexAI App and the VylexAI network of decentralized AI compute operated by Dudaev Systems UG. By installing the app, creating an account, or toggling the Worker on, you agree to these Terms.

1. What VylexAI does

VylexAI is a decentralized AI compute network. The Android app has two modes:

• Provider — your phone contributes idle compute to the network while charging on Wi-Fi with a safe battery temperature. In return, the network credits your account with BSAI — a unit of account internal to the VylexAI economy.
• Client — you submit AI tasks (inference, lightweight fine-tuning) and the network dispatches them across participating devices.

VylexAI is not a cryptocurrency mining app. No on-device cryptocurrency hash computations take place. No proof-of-work. Every compute cycle performs meaningful machine-learning work.

2. Accounts

You need a working email address and a password of at least 8 characters. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password confidential.
• All activity on your account.
• Ensuring the email address is one you control (we use it for security notices).

You can delete your account any time by emailing hello@vylexai.com or through Settings → Account → Delete.

3. BSAI — technical preview terms

As of the current release, BSAI balances shown in the app are a technical preview and have no monetary value. We will announce the transition to a production BSAI economy separately. Until then:

• BSAI numbers reflect network contribution, not a redeemable asset.
• You cannot withdraw BSAI.
• We may adjust ledger entries to correct bugs or abuse during the preview period.

When the production economy launches, balances carried over will be communicated transparently.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to tamper with Play Integrity or spoof device attestation
• Run VylexAI on rooted / modified Android where the attestation signal is a lie
• Submit tasks whose content is illegal under German or EU law (e.g. CSAM, IP infringement, targeted harassment, weapons)
• Use the app to deliver malware, phishing payloads, or other attacks
• Reverse-engineer the app in a way that bypasses billing, rate limits, or moderation
• Resell or rent access to the VylexAI network under your account

Violations can result in account suspension and, where applicable, legal action.

5. Intellectual property

• The VylexAI App and its source code (where open-sourced) are licensed under the Apache License 2.0 at https://github.com/vylexAI/vylexAI-Android .
• You retain rights to the data and models you submit as a Client. You grant us a non-exclusive license to route and process that data as necessary to fulfill your task.
• Task outputs produced on your device as a Provider belong to the Client who submitted the job.

6. Battery, thermals, and device wear

You acknowledge that AI compute generates heat and uses battery. VylexAI caps work behind strict constraints (charging, Wi-Fi, battery not low, safe temperature) to minimize device wear, but we do not warrant that no wear occurs. You can disable the Worker at any time.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We will make a reasonable effort to give advance notice of breaking changes.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose during the technical preview.

9. Limitation of liability

Within the bounds of German law (§ 309 BGB), our liability for ordinary negligence is limited to damages typical for this kind of service. Liability for intent or gross negligence remains unlimited.

10. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Venue for disputes is Cottbus, Germany, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules dictate otherwise.
